The Glad All Over Foundation was created in honour of Peter Gee. A loving father, husband and grandfather who passed away in June 2020, at the age of 64 as a result of a pulmonary embolism.
Peter was a friend, not just to his family, but to a huge swath of society far and wide. His passions for music, cricket, football and railways afforded him the opportunity to connect and engage with people from all walks of life.
A titan of a man, who had a monumental impact on those around him. He leaves a legacy of joy behind, and it is our hope that we can build on this and help others. Just like he did.

Inspired by the life of Peter Gee, The Glad All Over Foundation supports the work of The Air Ambulance, Thrombosis UK and The Lords Taverners, three charities that offer life saving and life changing services.
We will take on a number of fundraising events and challenges, but if you have ideas on how you would like to help us support these charities, please get in touch.
You can help by simply sharing our message.
Because it feels good to help those in need.
Firstly, Peter was a passionate football and cricket fan. By setting up and running local football and cricket clubs, he ensured that that kids had the opportunity to play the games he dearly loved. The Lord's Taverners is a charity that creates opportunities for young disabled people, and those from deprived areas, to engage in sport and recreational activities in their local communities.
He was a generous man, and would donate monthly to several charities. The Leicester and Rutland Air Ambulance Service was one of these. The family will also always be grateful for the work of the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance crew who tried desperately to save his life.
Lastly, Peter's death was because of an unknown blood clot, unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to save him. It is our hope that Thrombosis UK can help stop this tragedy occurring for families across the country.
Peter was a larger than life pillar of the community whose generosity and enthusiasm pushed others to be better versions of themselves. It is our goal to mirror that approach to life with our work.
Helping other makes us feel glad all over.
Peter was an avid Crystal Palace fan and “Glad All Over” by The Dave Clark Five is the club's anthem. A feel good track loved by a feel good man, it brings back floods of happy memories but also projects a positive message.
Whilst celebrating our father’s life and helping others, this song is the perfect moniker under which to do so.
