WHY SUNFLOWERS?
Not only were sunflowers Peter's favourite thing to grow, but they are a fitting symbol for the man himself. Larger than life, colourful and bright. Sunflowers are easy to grow too so everyone can get involved.
TOP TIPS FOR GROWING
- More sun the better!
- Sow early in pots, and then plant directly into well draining soil for bigger sunflowers
- Support them as much as possible
- Water well and use tomato feed when flowers appear
- Sing to them
